CHARIPERSON'S LETTERWell, our newsletter is finally back on track after a
quater's absence due to lack of sponsorship, but with huge
thanks to Guy Smith and Gowrie, we are back on track with a
jam packed newsletter for you, although we are still
looking for sponsorship for the next edition!!!
We are halfway through 2004 and tourism is looking brighter
than ever for Notties. Out biggest event of this year is
going to be the launch of our first ever Nottingham Road
calendar, which will bring much 'exposure' to Nottingham
Road! We are also to host our annual Vintage & Steam Show,
Trout Fare and Springvale Horse Trials. A new addition to
our calendar is our on Oktoberfest to be held on 9th
October and new Boet & Swaar Show to be held on 27th
November. Therefore we have an action packed few months
ahead of us, just warming up to Christmas and another Lite
Nite Shopping experience.
A few niggling issues still are called to our attention
time and time again, one of which is the ad hoc erection of
signage around our area. These range from signs tacked
onto trees, hung from trees, badley placed flags, black
boards etc. Please can you ensure that your signage is
appropriate of our area, and most of all not a traffic
hazard!
Kind Regards
Rebecca
